1. Amazon Prime Account
First step is to have an Amazon Prime account. Don't have one, not a big deal. Amazon Prime offers a 30 day free trial to test it out. So now you can score these deals without having to pay for being an Amazon Prime member. (Remember though if you do not want to be charged for the service to continue after 30 days you will need to cancel it). I am already an Amazon Prime member, it is super convenient to order items and receive free two day shipping on select items. Fantastic for when I need something quick for the baby!
2. Deals Already Live
There are many baby items that are already on sale and have been over the past few days. Some items have $100 off or more. Strollers, carriers, and car-seats are already discounted on the amazon website. Check to see if the brand you want is already on there with a discount. There are also deals that are already live and being claimed as we speak. Follow this link: Amazon Deals
3. Check out this Cheat Sheet
There are so many baby items out there it is hard to keep track and find them all. The baby registry list I used, Babylist, recently sent me an email with a cheat sheet of the current deals going on with popular items.

Lightning Deals are quick savings that last less than an hour or until they run out (which can happen a lot). These are fast and end quickly, which makes them easy to miss out on. Thankfully a lot of the items you can see as they are upcoming and can subscribe to receive a message when the deal goes live. This does require scouring all of the deals in the baby section to find what you are looking for, but when you do the savings can be immense and totally worth the minutes searching.
5. Follow Babylist on Facebook
Lightning Deals are fast and can sell out quickly. That item you desperately wanted or needed is quickly discounted and then gone. This can be heartbreaking when you are trying to save money but your heart is set on a item. Babylist is offering to send out Facebook messages on the best baby deals 10 minutes before they go live. This is an awesome opportunity that also helps out those who are working full time tomorrow. All you have to do is go to the Babylist Facebook Page and follow the link. To make it easy on you follow this link to the page and click on send message: Babylist Message Post
6. Message Babylist Prime
Once you click on Send Message on the Babylist Facebook page it will automatically prompt you on how to subscribe to the messages. All you need to do is send back the word "PRIME" and they will send you messages 10 minutes before some of the best baby deals go live. Which in turn will save you some time searching the lightning deals for items, unless you are looking for a specific brand or item.
7. Special Deal for American Express Card Holders
Get an extra 20% off of items that are fulfilled by Amazon, up to $100 total off, if you use at least one point. My brother was able to $60 off of an all-in-one convertible car-seat!! That is an amazing deal, especially when you combine it with some of the deals on car-seats that already exist. You could essentially get a total of $160 off a car-seat that is normally $300 dollars or more. What a great deal!!
8. Order, Save, and Enjoy
Now you can order, save, and enjoy. Some of the items you will be able to receive in two days and some you may have to wait. But if you saved a ton of money on a item, I believe it is well worth the wait of normal shipping. We have already ordered our next car-seat with the deals that are already live and got $100 off, combined with another $40 because of the American Express discount. We got a Graco 4ever-in-1 Convertible Car Seat which should last until Mia no longer needs one. This even is definitely a money saver for parents, especially when you are able to use it to your advantage.
Enjoy and Happy Shopping from Mia and I!!!

Picture this: You are confined in a house with one level. The bones and muscles in your body ache and hurt in places you didn't think was possible. The only companions are two dogs and a baby, both of which only want or need you for food, restroom breaks, or comfort. Anytime you need to go the bathroom or cook food you are waylayed by one of those companions, more so by the baby than anything. You are slowly watching your once clean and pristine house become covered in dust particles. The dishes in the sink are piling up, some half washed because the last time you tried to wash them a baby's cries tore you away. Your significant other comes home and you find yourself being short and irritable with him. Maybe a visitor stops by but even that seems to bother you. Eventually you wind your way down to sleep at night thinking relief is on its way, only to wake up every two to four, or even every hour for someone else's needs. The cycle repeats day after day after day and it begins to take its toil. What is this overwhelming feeling taking over? Cabin FeverExtreme irritability and restlessness from living in isolation or a confined indoor area for a prolonged time. -Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Mommy Tip: Don't wait till your breaking point. One evening I had had enough and I broke down crying. My husband returned to the house to a crying wife, a crying baby, and two barking dogs. And so he calmed the baby and put her in the car-seat, and we got in the car, grabbed ice cream from the gas station, and drove around our subdivision. The relief I felt was immensely overpowering. We may have been gone for only 10 minutes, but it was worth it for my sanity. I quickly felt refreshed and renewed, which in the long run was better for Mia and I. Mommy Tip: Go for a short trip around the neighborhood, whether its walking in the stroller or a ride in the car.
Mommy Tip: The more you get out of the house, the easier the process becomes. Don't be afraid!I should have done it long ago, but my stubborn self thought I was being a selfish mother. I felt guilty because I should love every second with my baby and it should be this wonderful thing every moment. Mom's do it all the time and I am just being a horrible mother by wanting to get out of the house and do something other than cuddle her, watch her sleep, or feed her. THESE ARE IRRATIONAL THOUGHTS!! Getting out the house to make you feel better does not in anyway make you a bad mother and it doesn't mean you love your child any less. Its understandable and something you shouldn't feel guilty about. I did and it let to me having a breakdown. You will still love your child and be better able to take care of him/her because you will be less stressed.
